After 10 years working in industrial automation and control systems, I transitioned to energy efficiency and data analysis when I was asked to use automation tools to analyze the energy use in large factories. Over the next several years I helped numerous industrial and institutional customers save millions of kWh and BTU. I then transitioned into energy and utility purchasing, working for several large multinationals, helping them save tens of millions of dollars in energy and utility costs. While I continue to consult on energy efficiency and purchasing, my most recent role has me coordinating the relocation and installation of utilities to support a large infrastructure project.
