Job Description

POSITION: As a Home Energy Assessor, you will perform scheduled in-home assessments to identify qualifying energy efficiency upgrades within income-qualified homes. Qualifying upgrades may include appliances, such as refrigerators and freezers, and will be identified by performing a walk-through of the home, and metering appliances where applicable. While in the home, you will also install pre-qualified basic lighting and water saving upgrades.

 

An important part of the home visit includes assisting homeowners understand the opportunities they have for using their energy wisely by delivering energy education advice specific to their household conditions. CLEAResult will provide you with extensive training to build on or develop your energy efficiency expertise.

 

This is an exciting position for someone who wants to make a meaningful impact by helping income-qualified homeowners receive energy efficient technology and learn good energy use habits.

REQUIREMENTS :

  • Post-secondary college or university is an asset
  • Basic knowledge of residential housing and a desire to learn more
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with a commitment to providing excellent customer service
  • Motivated self-starter with good attention-to-detail
  • Proficient computer skills using email and every-day computer programs
  • Must have reliable transportation, 4×8 storage space and valid driver’s license & insurance
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Professionalism and empathy

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Perform scheduled in-home visits with income-qualified homeowners
  • Install qualified energy efficiency upgrades in the home
  • Determine appliance eligibility through metering and visual assessments
  • Track and report all energy efficient upgrade opportunities via provided platforms
  • Deliver in-home energy efficiency education to homeowners

Compensation Range:
